Walking the silk road @ The British Museum

As you hear of the Silk Road, the first thing you picture are the magnificent monuments of Samarkand, the spice route and trade ports. The exhibition at The British museum has taught me that religion, language and exchange of culture is what bought the ever changing Silk Road together.

The journey,

The exhibition was based on different geographic zones that spread across east to west with collections of historic objects loaned from a wide range museums for the first time.

From my learnings I have decided to take this opportunity to create my own drawings from the objects on display this week. Follow me along!

1.Japanese Archipelago, Korean peninsula, mainland china
2. South East Asia To The Tarmin Basin (19.11.2024)
3. Central Asia and The Steppe (20.11.24)
4. Central Asia to Arabia (21.11.24)
